A Time to be Born
Zachary Lonzell Morris was born July 25, 1966, to Elaine Foster Morris and Wilbur Morris in Bogalusa, LA.
He joined New Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend A. L. Owens and remained a member under the leadership of Reverend Doctor Linza Rae Cotton. Zack was a faithful member until his health failed.
A Time of Peace
On March 4, 2016, God in His infinite wisdom, called Zack to a place of rest, where there is no more pain, suffering and crying and wheelchair bound.
A Time to Educate
Zachary graduated from Varnado High School in 1984. He continued his education at Pearl River Junior College, Washburn University and Southern University. He was an outstanding football player.
A Time to Love
Zachary was married to Romona Coleman in 1991.
A Time to let Go
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted, loving and caring mom, Elaine F. Morris; two sons: Zachary Kendrick of Bogalusa, LA and Brandon Coleman of Hammond, LA; two daughters: Brittney McGee of Amite, LA and Brittney Coleman of Hammond, LA; seven grandchildren, two brothers: Reverend Doctor Wilbur (Cynthia) Morris, McAnthony (Mandy) Foster of Snellville, GA; five special aunts: Odessa (Amos)Peters, Carolyn (Levon) Harry, Beverly Harry, Brenda Thomas of Varnado, LA and Edgie (Charles) Alford of Hammond, LA. He is also survived by eight other aunts: Linda Morris, Vera Morris, Betty Brown, Cindy Morris, Cynthia Morris, Shellie Morris, Anniece Morris and Joyce Morris; two uncles: James Morris and Royce Morris of Bogalusa, LA, numerous other sisters ad brothers; two special cousins: Sylvia (Theo) Nelson and Eureka Williams of Arlington, TX; a special little brother/cousin Ray (Beth) Pack, Jr. of Bogalusa, LA; three special friends: Osric (Spanky) Hines, Andre Smith and Terrickia (Peanut)Keys and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and the front boys.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otha (Nettie Fay) Foster, John (Theresa) Morris, five uncles: Edward Foster I, Otha Foster, Jr., Isaac Peters, John Morris, Sr. and Cory Harry; three aunts: Helen Peters, Dorothy Cotton and Augustine Morris.
