At the age of 49, Youlanda Hunter, departed this earth on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA.
Youlanda was born October 31, 1966 in Independence, LA and was a lifelong area resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She was employed as a Director of a childcare Center and an event planner at the Renaissance Center.
Youlanda leaves her love and memories to lifelong partner, Albert curry, Sr., four sons: Reggie Hunter, Albert Curry, Jr., Moses Dollar and Promise Bernardez; two daughters: Arteshia Hunter and Courtney Hunter; two grandchildren: Landon Hunter and Dailyn Hunter; four sisters: Paria (David) Jackson, Sonuya )Felix) Mearidy, Jacqueline (Roland) Campbell, Gwen Smith and Gemene Smith; one brother, Michael Hunter; three godchildren: Shanell Weatherspoon, Saniya Anderson and Serenity Route; three special aunts: Mattie Todd, Olevia smith and Diane Hunter; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Youlanda was preceded in death by her parents, Edna Mae Hunter and Richard Smith, Jr.; her grandparents, Dave and Gertrude Russell, Albert and Odeal Hunter, Sr., Richard and Ophelia Smith, Sr., her mother-in-law, Selena Mae Curry; her sisters, Richeta Bickham and Selonia Reed; nephew, Hiram Hunter and great niece, Byrone Jackson.
