BROTHER WILLIE DEWITT MAGEE

Died on June 14, 2015 at the age of 83 at his home in Franklinton, LA. Willie was born on December 14, 1931 to the late Eldridge and Marie Magee.

Willie was a 1952 graduate of the Washington Parish School System. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Air Force where he served (2) years in Japan and 2 years in Korea. In 1956, he received a Honorable Discharge from the Air Force and returned home to start his own dairy business where he worked faithfully for 50 years.

On January 26, 1957, he was united in Holy Matrimony with Gloria Burris and to this union (2) sons were born.

Willie united with Bethel COCH during his teenage years. He leave to cherish his memories a loving wife, Gloria Burris Magee, two sons: Lawton (Octivia) Magee, Kendrick (Gwen) Magee both of Franklinton, LA

Willie also leaves four brothers: Paul (Carmen) Magee, Larry (Clarisse) Magee of Franklinton, LA, Garland (Mary) Magee of Tylertown, MS, Murrell (Dorothy) Magee of Sandy Hook, MS; two sisters: Bonnie Sims of Compton, CA, and Ida Brenda (Ardie) Clark of Revina, OH, Nine Grandchildren: Kensha, Joy, Sophia, Joshua, Jeremy, Justin, Jason, Tyler, Travante Jr. great grandchildren: Lyla, Tahj, Braydin and Landon and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eldridge Magee and Mother, Marie Magee. Willie was loved dearly by family and friends. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2015 from 2 – 6pm at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home of Franklinton, La. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Bethel Church of Christ Holiness Rev. Jarvis Lee is Pastor and Rev. Jerome Warren Officiating. Interment in Bethel Cemetery.
