We bid farewell to our beloved Willie James Wilson, fondly known as Willie J, who departed this world on October 7, 2024. Willie was born on August 4, 4955 in Bogalusa to the parents of the late Lucious Wilson and Thelma Quinn Wilson. Willie J. was a shining light in his family, always filled with laughter and joy. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness,
Willie J. graduated born Bogalusa High School, and later joined the United States Army. After serving in the military he relocated to Oakland, California and later moved to New Orleans, where he worked as a laborer and he remained there until his passing,
He leaves behind his wife Viola Wilson, two sons Michael Brown, (Andrea) and Aric O'ree, (Charon) a daughter, Arica Dorsey (MarIon) two step sons, Harold and Reginald Williams, nieces, nephews, grand and great grandchildren and a sister Theresa Wilson Byrd. A host of dear cousins and countless friends who will remember his kindness and generosity.
Willie J was dearly loved and his kind heart will live on in our hearts forever.
