William Isaac Lee "Big Daddy" Peters, was born to the late Otha Peters Sr. and the late Claray Bridges Johnson on April 3, 1941 and departed this life on Friday, September 17, 2010. He was the first born child.
Brother Isaac received his High School diploma from Wesley Ray High School in 1958. He joined New Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he was the Financial Secretary for years. He was employed by Crown Zellerbach (Gaylord) for 34 years and Evans Tobacco Company for over 20 years.
Brother Isaac was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Helen Jean Foster Peters; son, Otha Lavern Peters Sr.; parents, Otha Peters Sr. and Claray Bridges Johnson and his brother Otha Peters Jr.
Brother Isaac was united in marriage to the late Helen Jean Foster on February 26, 1959. To this union six children was born; Sylvia (Theo) Nelson and Angela "Gaye-Gaye" Peters of Varnado, LA., Isaac Peters of Bogalusa, LA., the late Otha (Sheila) Peters of Covington, LA., Clara Peters of Missouri City, TX, and Donna (Derek) Pate of Fort Worth, TX. His also leaves his step-mother Chinese Keil Peters of Bogalusa, LA., Sixteen special grandchildren; Zandra (Rahman) Butler and Taurus Gibson of Houston, TX., Kendreka Corley, Kendra and Kenneth Peters Jr., of Missouri City, TX., Kandra Stokes, Jamar Robinson, Isaac Youngblood, Brittney Peters, and Antoyia Nichols of Varnado, LA., Olanta Peters of Lafayette, LA., and Otha Peters Jr. of Covington, LA., Shevicia Gibson of Atlanta, GA., Kaylen and Jaylen Pate of Fort Worth, TX., Calyx Peters of Baton Rouge, LA., There are twelve extra special great-grandchildren; Rahman Butler II and Alexandar Butler of Houston, TX., Jada, Carey, and Lathan Corley, and Kennedy Carmouche all of Missouri City, TX., Dylan, Hannah, and Caleb Stokes of Varnado, LA., Emmanuel Hatcher and Xaden Armstrong of Atlanta, GA and Teyana Gibson of Kileen, TX. There are nine siblings that are going to miss him as well, Betty (Billy) and Bonnie (Bobby) Clark of Chicago, IL, Catherine Nell Westbrook of Bogalusa, LA, Annie Moses of Varnado, LA., and Denise Peters of Baton Rouge, LA, Melvin and Ernest Johnson of New Orleans, LA, and Lunder Johnson of Bogalusa, LA and a host of aunts, uncles, sisters-n-laws, brothers-n-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
