Wanda Jean Lewis-Ambeau was born November 5, 1957 in New Orleans, LA in Charity Hospital to Juanita Warren. She confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and was united with Greater St. Stephens Baptist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Wanda received her educational foundation in the New Orleans Public Schools System and graduated from L.B. Landry High School.
"Rena Girl", as she was affectionately known as namesake of our late grandmother Irene Crumedy, was a very kind hearted and friendly person. She had an endless love for her family and friends. She was known for her incredible talent of bringing out the beauty of a person by styling their hair and applying the right amount of make-up to add charisma to their character. Another one of her loves was cooking exotic meals that she would share sparingly with her siblings. She had a love for decorating and entrepreneur She was united to her high school sweetheart Michael Ambeau and to this union two beautiful children were born.
She leaves to cherish memories one son Londy Ambeau now her mother Juanita Warren, 4 sisters Edwina Jackson from New Orleans, LA; Mamie Coleman and Kolata Holts from in Atlanta, GA; Shirley Garrison from New Orleans, LA and brothers Benjamin Lewis from Bogalusa, LA; Jim Jackson from Atlanta, GA and Armand Warren from New Orleans, LA. Four grandchildren Charles, Londy, Precious and Lauryn, one great-grand Shariah, four aunts and five uncles.One daughter Antrese Ambeau preceded her in death, her grandmother Irene Crumedy and Grandpapa's Benjamin Crumedy and Charlie Lewis and one sister Pauline Annette Warren.
Vistation will be Saturday, July 7 at Pilgrims Rest Missionary Baptist Church from 11-1p.m followed by the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Rev. Ivy Williams, Officiating. Interment Dillon Cemetery.
