Versie Lee Pittman was born on October 21, 1928 in Tylertown, Ms., to the late James Pittman and the late Caroline Hatcher. Later they had three more children, the late J.D. Pittman, Vileaner Holmes and L.C. Pittman.
She was united in marriage to the late John Mark. She leaves to mourn her beloved children, Mrs. Carrie (Jackie) Fortenberry from Bogalusa, La., Mrs. Virginia (Kenneth) Martin from Houston, Tx. and the late Kathleen Mark Harry. Versie Lee will also be missed by her two grandchildren Yolanda Harry and Rashard Fortenberry both from Bogalusa, La. And a host of greatgrands, nieces, nephews, Aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.Versie Lee was united with the Tree of Life Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. W.J. Johnson. There she once served as an member on the Usher Board and an member of the Tree of Life Sr. Choir. She was well known for her good heart and sweet hospitality. She will be greatly missed as she has passed through this life but surely not forgotten.
