Obituary
Velmon J. Cotton was born May 2, 1927 in Hub, MS to the union of Clyde Jefferson and Sarah Ratliff. Velmon was the youngest of five children: Maefield, Eddie, Aldonia and Theresa (Pinkie) all of whom preceded her in death.
Velmon was the widow of Nelson Cotton. Later in life she became a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church, where she attended. Sister Cotton loved the Lord Jesus Christ. She lived a Christ like life. Her smile and laughter will be missed. If you talked to her she would tell you about the goodness of the Lord. She would always say, when Jesus comes back, He would ask did you tell anyone about Me?
