Sylvester (Bill) Thompson passed away at the age of 78 on August 6, 2019. He was a man who touched the lives of many. He was a husband, father, grandfather, cousin, uncle, and friend. He will always be remembered for his humble spirit.
Sylvester was born on September 29, 1941 to the late Deacon Webster and LeVater Thompson in Walthall County MS. He loved driving big Trucks.
He worked for Fornea Timber/Lumber in Angie, La and Wood Treating Inc. In Picayune, MS.
He was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Tylertown, MS.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Essie B. Thompson. He also leaves his six sons: Tommy (Elaine) Thompson, Terry Thompson, Duan N. Williams, Rev. Charlie (Rachel) Robinson, Stanley (Claretta) Robinson, and Felton Robinson. Along with his six daughters: Faye McCarthy, Lindoris (Willie Ray Sr) Bickham, Vernadine( Joe Willie) Roberts, Judy Comeaux, Dawndra Barnes, and Willie Faye (Dwight) Shepard. He also leaves behind a loving brother, Bronson Thompson, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Webster and LeVater Thompson and two brothers Charles and Henry Ellis Thompson.
