Schmia Janice Jones affectionally call Mi-Mi was born April 16, 1975 to the late Elaine Elizabeth Sheridan and the late Albert Jones in Los Angeles, California.

On May 30, 2025 the Lord saw Schmia getting tired and said my child your suffering is over and took her home to rest.

She accepted Christ at the age of ten and was baptized by Pastor Curtis at Village Baptist Church in Los Angeles, CA.

Schmia began her early childhood education at 110th Street Elementary School on Los Angeles, CA.

In 1988 her mother and her husband Gary Roberts moved the family to Varnado. Louisiana, Schmia continued her education and was a proud graduate Varnado High School Class of 1994. Schmi further pushed her education and attended NorthShore  Technical College NCTC, and later attended Southeastern College for Childhood Development.

Schmia worked at the Bogalusa Daily News and later at the Citel Call Center from October 2007-January 2010.

On  February 13, 2010 Schmia Jones married the love of her life, Johnny Pearson.

Schmia passions were shopping, playing resturants games on her phone, watching tv shows and movies, listening to gospel music while driving her nephews and children to Sunday school and talking to friends on the phone.

Schmia was preceded in death by her mother Elaine Sheridan, father Albert Jones, grandparents Evalena Sheridan, Willie Sheridan, and Hollis Roberts.

Schmia leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband of 15 years Johnny Pearson, father Gary Roberts, and companion Rose Gary, two sons, Gary Danay Jones, Haji Thomas and one daughter Stacey Thomas, one sister Tulani Marie Roberts of Varnardo, La, three brothers Larod, Patrick and James Jones all of Los Angeles, CA, a special niece Ru'Laina Roberts of Bogalusa, La, four nephews Ian Bland, Elein Roberts of Varnado, La, Audrey  Jones, Larod Jones III, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
