Ruth Jackson-Joyner, a native of Bogalusa, passed away at her home in Somerset, NJ on September 5, 2019.  She was 88 years old.

Ruth attended the Washington Parish School System.

She is survived by her daughter, Angernell Jackson of Somerset: step-children, Barbara and James A. Joyner Jr; and a host of nieces nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Emma Abbott Jackson; six brothers, Wesley, Charlie, Demmie, Earnest Sr, Jewel Sr, and Glemmie Sr; and five sisters, Velma J Buckley, Ethel J. Brown, Fannie J. Dantzler, Earnestine J. Mark, and Mamie J. Taylor.
