RAY DANIEL MOSES
Ray Daniel Moses departed this life peacefully on October 7, 2014 at his home in Angie, LA.Ray was born on September 2, 1951 in Bogalusa, LA to the late Delsie Bickham Moses and adopted by Theodore Moses, Sr. Being the product of a devoted christian familyh, Ray received his early spirtual training at the Pilgrim's Rest Missionary Baptist Church where he attended Sunday School, Baptist Training Union (BTU) and served as a junior deacon.
Ray graduated fronm Wesley Ray High School in 1969 and enrolled at SUNO in New Orleans. Ray enlisted in the United States Army serving 9 yers working with prosthetics. Ray later moved to Texas and worked as a professional mover with the Mayflower Moving Company, In 2008, Ray returned to be with his family. He united with Wesley Ray United Methodist Church and attended church serves regularly with his father and family. Ray joyfully participated in all the Methodist Men events and activities. On September 25, 2010, Ray united in holy matrimony with Alma P. Moses. Ray will be remembered for his "playful, cheerful attitude", always bringing a smilt to all he met.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Alma Moses of Angie, his son Terrance (Danielle) Moses, a stepson, Fernando Peters, his father, Theodore Moses, Sr., his stepmother, Alice Jefferson; eight sisters, Annie (Dwight) Rowster, Wanda (Clarence) Dickerson, Ivy (Oliver) Morris, Penny Moses, Mary Moses, Angela and Tiffany Jefferson, and Sharon Jefferson; four brothers, Theodore (Janice) Moses, Lucious Jefferson, Steven (Tremaine) Jefferson, and Reginal (Pamela) Jefferson. Five grandchildren and a godson, Brison Nichols, also his mother-in-law, Hazel Peters, four sisters-in-laws and four brother-in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th from 2 – 6 pm at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home in Bogalusa. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 11th at Wesley Ray UMChurch in Angie at 11:00 am with Rev. Terrance August officiating. Interment will be in the Dillon Cemetery in Angie, LA.
