Percy Keith (Kedy) Bolton, the eldest son of the late Frank Bolton Sr. and Ella Mae Tate Bolton was born October 22, 1957, in Bogalusa, LA. Our Savior called Kedy home on March 18, 2013. Kedy grew up as a child in St. Paul A.M.E. and became a Christian at an early age. He attended Bogalusa High School and graduated in 1977. After receiving his high school diploma he served in the United States Navy for several years and received an honorable discharge. He lived in Oakland California for many years and eventually returned to Louisiana to reside in New Orleans.
Kedy leaves to cherish his memory a mother, Sis. Ella Mae Tate Bolton of Bogalusa, LA, one sister, Gilda Bolton of Oakland, California and three brothers: Wayne, Frank Jr. and Barry Bolton all of Bogalusa, LA; two brother-in-laws: Leroy Hall of Pittsburg, California and John Scott of Oakland, California; three Aunts: Urnecie Abrams of Bogalusa, LA; Pauline Hart of New Orleans, LA; and Myrtle Tate, of Franklinton, LA; one uncle, Nead Tate Sr. of New Orleans, LA; six nephews: Jamar Smith of Monroe, LA; Jonathan Scott of Atlanta, GA; Lyle (Amber) and Lief Hall of Pittsburg, California, Isaiah and Caston Bolton of Bogalusa, LA . He has six nieces Keisha Walton (Fred) of Monroe, La; April Scott, Africa and Ebony Bolton of Oakland California; Attallah Harper and Jamia Bolton of Bogalusa, LA and a host of great- nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Kedy was preceded in death by his father Frank Bolton Sr., three sisters: Frankie Faye Smith, Mary Jo Scott, and Ella Rose Hall; one niece Little Frankie Faye Smith.
Visitation will be held at Cook Richmond Funeral Home Friday, March 29, 2013 at 2pm to 7pm and Family hour 7pm to 8pm. The funeral arrangements are scheduled for Saturday, March 30, 2013, at St. Paul A.M.E. Church beginning at 2pm officiating Pastor R.L. Palmer. Interment Bogalusa Cemetery
