The year was 1956, the date was December 1st, and the place was Independence, Louisiana. A daughter was born to Charlie and Ella Mae Kennedy. Patricia was the second of three children. On Wednesday, December3, 2025, Mrs. Patricia Miller received her wings. She bid farewell to her loved ones and entered her mansion that her heavenly Father had promised.
Mrs. Miller united with Good Hope Baptist Church at a young age and was baptized by Rev. Versie Smith in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Upon her family's move to Bogalusa, Louisiana, she joined Sweet Beulah Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. M.K. Duncan, where she sang in the choir. Later in life she joined the Kingdom of God under the leadership of Pastor Kendon Grant, where she served as treasurer, Vice President of Kingdom Kitchen and a member of Pastor Aide.
Patricia Elaine Miller graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1975, where she sang in the chorus under the leadership of the late Mrs. Barbara Butler and the 3rd African American Bogalusa High School Paperdoll, and was a member Spartanette Service Club under Mrs. Barbara Butler and Ada Hannibel. Elaine Miller graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1975.
Patricia Elaine Miller will forever live the hearts of her family: three sons: Erik (Shonette), Damion Miller, Christopher Miller, all of Bogalusa, Louisiana; two sisters, Melner (Anthony) Lampkin of Bloomington, CA and Beverly McDonald of Calument City, ILL; three brothers: Quiney Hughes of New Orleans, LA, Jermaine (Kerrisha) Francis, and Charley Francis both of Fredericksburg, VA, five grandchildren: Christopher Miller Jr., Heaven Miller, Maya Jefferson, Kayleigh Morgan, Kingston Green, and Stephanie Hammond. Three aunts: Lula Hart of Independence, LA, Betty Johnson and Joyce Joiner,(who is also her godmother) both of Bogalusa, LA, two nieces : Laneka Lewis and Davia Black, of Bloomington, CA; two nephews: Jermaine and Jermiah Francis; one great-grandchild; Special friends: Jackson, Rose and Ken Magee, Gregory Span, Julius Quillen, Leatha Williams, and Sandra Lewis, Dora jones and a host of other relatives and friends.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents: Charlie and Ella Mae Kennedy; two brothers Marvin Kennedy and Ellis Francis.
