Otha Foster, Jr., the tenth child of the late Othat Foster, Sr. and Nettie Mingo Foster, was born June 8, 1966. He departed this life on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, La., at the age of 43. He was a dialysis patient for nineteen of the forty-three years of his life. He was a member of the VHS graduating class of 1986.
Otha was preceded in death by his parents Mr. & Mrs. Otha (Nettie) Foster, Sr.; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John Foster; and Mr. & Mrs. Gable Mingo; a brother, Edward charles Foster; a sister, Helen Jean Peters; and a nephew, Otha L. "Pokey" Peters.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Otha Foster III of Varnado, LA.; two daughters Tiara J. Foster of Columbia, MS., and Clara Lopez of Bogalusa, LA., one grandson, Jairus Peters of Bogalusa, LA and one unborn grandchild; seven sister; Edgie (Charles) Alford of Hammond, LA.; Dorothy Cotton, Elaine Morris, Odessa (Amos) Peters, Carolyn (Levon) Harry, Beverly (Cory) Harry, and Brenda Thomas, all of Varnado, LA.; Brother-in-law, Isaai Lee Peters of Varnado; special friends, Casey Adams, Reginald Adams, Raymond Adams, and Jacoby Adams, all of Bogalusa, LA.
