Obituary

Natoya Nakeachier "Polly" Toomer, 45, a native of Bogalusa, was born to Brenda Toomer and Earnest Dillon on Dec. 26, 1976, and gained her wings on April 23, 2022, in Lafayette. She graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1994.

Natoya had a beautiful and loving spirit inside and out and left a lasting memory with everyone she came in contact with. She will forever be loved and missed by many. Natoya was family-oriented and never met a stranger. She was full of life, energetic and extra. She loved fashion and helping others when she could. She always had a smile on her face and knew how to make people laugh even when she was not trying to. Most importantly, she loved God with all of her heart. Natoya shared a special and unbreakable bond with her children. She constantly encouraged and motivated them to be the very best in life they could be, and did everything in her power to make sure they had what they needed and wanted. Not only was she their mother, she was their very best friend. Natoya also shared a deep and loving bond with her mother and sisters.

Natoya leaves to cherish her loving memories to her children, Lajasmeira "Massey" Toomer, Lajarek "Tuff" Toomer and Laterek "Bee" Toomer; her loving and dear mother, Brenda Toomer-Tillman; father, Earnest Dillon; three sisters, Shamecha Toomer-Smith, Miracle Dillon and Nykea Williams; four nephews, Paris Smith II, Noah Dillon, Xavien Evans and Kaiden Pate; three aunts, Cassandra Wilson, Tresa Toomer and Lillie (Ronald) Brown; three uncles, Harvest (Gloria) Toomer Jr., Clarence Quinn and John (Tekeisha) Ard Jr.; special cousins, Kimberly Showers, Tobias Toomer, Koneisha Flot, Jerlisa Wilson, Chanel Jackson and Nigena Wilson; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives; as well as her very best friend and bonus sister, Christa Owens O'Ree, whom she loves so deeply.

She also leaves to cherish a special friend, Mark Stevenson, from Lafayette.

Natoya was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ella Mae Wilson-Toomer, Harvest Toomer Sr., Dorothy Ard and John Ard Sr.; special cousins, Taurean Toomer, Gerrard Toomer, Aaron Conerly, Demarquis Wilson and Montreal Quinn; and her lifelong companion who she shared an unbreakable and loving bond with, Johnny Weary.

Bishop Howard E. Quillen officiating.
