Mrs. Myrtis Youngblood-Moses was born on October 14,1938 in Tylertown, MS, to the late Eyrtis Youngblood and the late Ola Davis. She departed this life August 4, 2021 at Our Lady Of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa, LA.

Myrtis was a member of the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church for many years under the headship of Pastor Ivy Williams. She was a member of the choir and diligently worked until she was unable to due to her health. She was the devoted wife to the late Calvin L. Moses; out of this union was born 4 children.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Alvin L.(Cynthia) Moses of Angie ,LA, Donice M.(Malcom) Moses of Bogalusa, LA, Cedric L. Moses of Zephyr Hills ,Fl. and Romella A.(Brisky) Ogbebor of Phoenix Az; six brothers: Melvin L. Parker Sr., Bradenton, FL, George G. Parker Sr., Slidell, LA., Freddy R. Parker, Angola, LA., William I. Gillard, Co-Co, FL. John I. Garvin Sr., Bradenton, Fl. Jack L. Garvin Sr., Palmetto, FL. four sister: Alma E. Jordan, Tampa, FL., Johnnye M. Cooper, Saraota,Fl.,Joyce M. McAuley, St. Petersburg, FL.., June C. Cooley, St. Petersburg, FL. One aunt: Fannie M. Collins, Sarasota, FL., one sister-in-law: Willie Faye Owens, Tickfaw,LA., four godchildren, Chiquita Moses- Bulter, Deborah Garret, Gary Brooks, and Douglas Smith; Thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren, and a host of niece, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin L. Moses; God child, Sebastian Peters, God daughter, Charlotte F. Peters Hunter her parents, Eyrtis Youngblood and Ola Davis; one sister, Jennie Garvin; and one brother, Jay Garvin
