Ms. Odelia Sharecia Simmons

Odelia Sharecia Simmons was born January 4, 1993 to Caroline Gibson Jefferson and Derrick Preston.  She was legally adopted by Sharon Simmons and Otney Simmons Jr.  She attended Bogalusa High School and graduated in 2013.  She was presently attending Northshore Technical Community College for Nursing.  She was recently recognized as an inductee into the National Adult Education Honor Society, NTCC Adult Education Chapter. 

Odelia is survived by her daughter; Aaliyah Sharecia Simmons of Bogalusa, LA, whom she loved and cherished, her mother Caroline (Gary) Jefferson of Bogalusa, La, her legal guardian/grandmother Sharon (Otney) Simmons of Bogalusa, La and her father Derrick (Wanda) Preston of Bogalusa, La.  She is also survived by her siblings: Miracle Natavia Jefferson (Ricardo) of Franklinton, La, Jordan and Kevin (Kelsey) Simmons of Bogalusa, LA, Arion Magee of Denham Springs, LA, De'Erica Myers of Houston, Tx, Jimell Magee of Bogalusa, La, and Ouwenequia Magee of Denham Springs, LA,  one aunt Karen Gibson (Eugene) of Bogalusa, La, one uncle Raymond Tate of Bogalusa, LA, god siblings;  Briaunna Stalling of Bogalusa, La, Justin  and Dantel Sartin of Bogalusa, La, her godparents; Brenda and Dudley Stallings of Bogalusa, La, special neighbors; The Marks Family of Bogalusa, La, special cousin Connie Martin (Michael); nephews and nieces, Drew Handy, Kehlauni Simmons, and Dre Handy.  She is also survived by a host of other family and friends.

Odelia was preceded in death by a brother La'Derick Magee, her stepfather Gary Jefferson, a god sister Dr. Danielle Keys and a special cousin Miranda Peters.
