In Loving Memory of
Shadic Topolino Mark
November 30, 1973 – May 16, 2026
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud… Love never fails.”— 1 Corinthians 13:4–8a (KJV)
Mr. Shadic Topolino Mark, affectionately known as “Big Shad” or “Big Herk,” departed this life on May 16, 2026. Born on November 30, 1973, in Tylertown, Mississippi, he was the beloved son of the late Raiford and Terry Janice P. Mark.
Shad graduated from Dexter High School Class of 1992 and later attended Southwest Mississippi Community College on a football scholarship. He was a dedicated and hardworking man who worked for several companies throughout his life, including Nabors, Temple Inland, ART Catering, and Sumrall Welding, where he faithfully served for over 15 years.
At an early age, Shad joined Second Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and later worshiped at Greater Center Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Sidney Jones.
Shad was known for his warm spirit, generous heart, and ability to make everyone feel welcomed. He enjoyed cooking for loved ones, spending time outdoors, listening to music, riding his ATV, flea market shopping, watching westerns and survival shows, and making memories with family and friends.
On February 22, 1997, Shad married the love of his life, Laquisha Lorraine Greely Mark. Together for 33 years, including 29 years of marriage, they shared a bond built on love, faith, loyalty, and devotion. He was a proud and supportive husband who celebrated his wife’s accomplishments and stood faithfully by her side.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Laquisha Lorraine Greely Mark; his brothers, Zone (Jerri) Mark and Mikell Henderson; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, godchildren, extended family, church family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raiford and Terry Janice P. Mark; his twin brothers, Keithan Mark and Kenneth Mark; and his grandparents.
Though deeply missed, Shad’s legacy of love, kindness, laughter, and unwavering support will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
