Miles Causey was born Juloy 1, 1939 in Tylertown, MS to the late Elder Edgar Causey and Luella. HYe was the six child of nine children. Miles confessed a hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of Elder Monroe McGee.
Miles was a man that love to sing, a talent that was God given. He could sing the roof off a house if you let him.
Miles was employed as a truck driver for over 30 years and could drive across the country in three days, at least that's what he would tell us.
Miles loved his family and he didn't have to be around for us to think about some of the crazy things he would do to make us laugh. Miles was married to his lovely wife Joyce Causey for twenty-two years until her death.
Miles departed this life on Saunday, December 28, 2014. He will be deeply missed. He leaves to cherish his memories, his sons: Mizell (Yolanda) of Slidell, LA, HLionell (Nora) of Chicago, IL, Leroy (Josie) of New Orleans, LA, Miles Jr of Nashville, TN. Daughters: Lady Karen (Pastor Donald) of Chicago, IL and Pamela Causey of Houston, TX. Sisters: Bernice (Willie) Tate of Atlanta, GA, Eunice Knight of Palmdale, CA, Josephine (Bishop Hillary) Murphy of Gardena, CA. Brothers: Deqacon Arcell (Gladys) Causey, Elder Harlan (Mattie) Causey Sr of Franklinton, LA. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Edgar Causey, Jr., Purnell Causey and Ned Causey.
Service was held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 11:00 am at Greater G=Hayes Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Franklintonm LA. Rev. Jerome Warren, Pastor and Pastor Donald Smith, Officiating. Interments in Hayes Creek Cemetery.
