Brother Mickel Ray Johnson was born April 9, 1 961, in Bogalusa, Louisiana to the late Sidney Johnson Sr. and Mandy Dillon Johnson. He departed this life on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at East Jefferson Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana
Mickel graduated from Pine High School in 1979. He married his High School Sweetheart, Deborah D. Johnson on July 26, 1980, to this union three children were born, He truly loved his family and was a wonderful provider. He was always a hard-working man. He worked at the milk plant, Rock and Water Scape Company and later in life he opened his own business, Rebar Armature by Johnson Inc.
He was a faithful member of Greater Hayes Creek Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Usher Board.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife Deborah D. Johnson; two sons, Cori (Ciera) Johnson of Camden, South Carolina, De' Mika Peters of Angie, Louisiana, two daughters, LaQuita Johnson of Hammond, Louisiana, TaShara (Karsno) Lewis of Franklinton, Louisiana; three brothers, Charles (Patricia) Johnson, Sidney Johnson Jr. of Franklinton, Louisiana, Clyde (Ellen) Johnson of New Orleans, Louisiana; one sister, Linda (Earnest) Brumfield of Franklinton, Louisiana, seven grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church families and friends.
Brother Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Johnson Sr. and Mandy Dillon Johnson, brothers Felton Johnson and Jerry "SUcker Head" Warner, sister Verna Magee, sister-in-law Christine Johnson and nephew Torrance Davis.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
