Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands, Serve the Lord with gladness, come before his presence with singing, know ye that the  Lord he is God; it is he that had made us with we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.  Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him and bless his name.  For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and  his truth endureth to all generations.

Sister Mary passed away on August 6, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter House in River Ridge, LA.

Mary was born on March  21, 1939 to Nazaree "Popper Stopper" Nelson,Sr, and Mary Lee Herring Nelson.  Mary was the second child of Thirteen children. She was a former member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and a dedicated member of Main Street Baptist Church.  She was an active and faithful member under the leadership of Pastor Patrick Magee.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories, her siblings: Steve H "Barbara" Nelson of Bogalusa,LA, David Nelson of San Francisco, CA, Margaret Mabry, of Bogalusa, LA Diane Robinson of Bogalusa LA, Cythina N. Pernell, Minneapolis, MN, Dessie J. Carson of Bogalusa, LA, and Robert Randy Nelson of Tangipahoa, LA, an uncle; Prince Herring of McComb, MS, a god-daughter; Aristine "Jerrime" James  and God-children; Jeremiah Simmons and Blessyn James. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
