Mrs. Lelia Morris Spikes was born June 23, 1923 to the late Mrs. Fannie Mizell Morris and the late Mr. Willie T. Morris. She united with Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church at an early age. Mrs. Lelia Spikes was united in marriage to the late P K Spikes on May 2, 1942. To this union sixteen children were born: eleven daughters, five sons, one step daughter and one step son.

She was preceded in death by three biological children and two step children, Diana, Anita, Joann, Ellie Leroy Spikes, and Mrs. Irene Spikes Wilson of Bogalusa, Louisiana; two brothers and two sisters, Richard Morris, Chris Morris, Annise Morris, and Flonia Will Morris Martin, and two nephews, Cleotha Martin and Warren Martin.
She is survived by thirteen children; eight daughters and five sons. Mrs. Jerri (Alvin) Pichon of Emeryville, California, Mrs. Carolyn (Donald L,) Jones, Sr. of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mrs. Katherine (Rodney) Roberston, Mrs. Shirley Spikes Jackson of Bogalusa, Louisiana, Commander Arnetta Spikes (retired) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Mrs. Irma Spikes Grant of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Yvonne Spikes Paige of San Leandro, California, Mrs. Linda Spikes Wilson of Bogalusa, Louisiana, Mr. Richard Spikes of Bogalusa, Louisiana, Mr. Willie Spikes of Bogalusa, Louisiana, Mr. James ( Patricia) Spikes of Bogalusa Louisiana, and Mr. P K (Alice) Spikes, Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana, and two nephews, Willie James Morris of Dallas, Texas, Glendora Hawthorne, Charles Morris, Kettie Jefferson, Gent Jefferson, and Earnest (Stephanie) Spikes of Varnado, Louisiana; fifty-seven grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, Gertrude Graves and Jimmy Polk, and many other relative and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 7 from 2-5p.m. at Cook-Richmond of Bogalusa, La.
Funeral Service will be Friday, February 8 at Mary's Chapel U.M.C. 11 a.m. Rev.Terrence August, Officiating. Interment Robinson Cemetery
