Obituary

On Saturday, April 1, 2017, Julia Mae Peters-Nichols went home to be with the Lord. She was born July 12, 1923 in Angie, LA to the late Eliza Weary-Peters. She was a devoted member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. B. B. Moses. She continued her faithful and steadfast service for many years under the leadership of Reverend Dr. A. S. Nelson.

All who knew her, knew that she was very sweet and loving. She was also a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. There was never a time that you would not see her without a smile or making someone laugh. Even the smallest things she would say would brighten up your day. she stayed ready for a good laugh.

She leave to cherish her memory one sister-in-law, Amy Peters of CA, one daughter-in-law, Sarah Nichols of Angie, LA, five grandchildren: Jackie (Clyde) Brown and Brian (Cashanda) Nichols both of Bogalusa, LA. Apostle Kenneth (Tonia) Nichols of Columbia, OH, Tammy (Alvin) Love and Shouna Love both of Los Angeles, CA; 14 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Porter Nichols, daughter, Eulia Mae Love, son Ozell "Jack" Nichols, granddaughter, Sheila Love, 5 brothers, 3 sisters, and other relatives that were influential in her up bringing.
