On May 25, 1963, James Vincent Moses was born to James Alton Moses and Dorothy Hart Moses of Angie, La. He departed this life on December 26, 2012. As a young boy, Vincent was very intelligent and obtained a very outspoken demeanor. He was also very athletic; finding enjoyment in most sports but particularly in baseball and basketball.
Vincent attended Varnado High School where he excelled academically and athletically. There, he was a member of the marching band, a member of the basketball team ( where he was an all-star player), and also served in many clubs and organizations including the President of the Class of 1981.
After graduating from Varnado High School, he attended Southern University A&M College of Baton Rouge, La. receiving his bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing. While at Southern University Marching Band. He was also a member of the Kappa Kappa Psi Band Fraternity. He truly loved the band and took great price in his university.
Throughout the duration of his life, Vincent held many management positions. While residing in Omaha, NE. for nearly 15 years, James Vincent held the position as Vice Assistant Bank Manager of the First National Bank of Omaha. After moving back to Louisiana during his later years, he obtained many managerial positions until his death. He worked hard and ambitiously never losing sight of his goals and dreams.
Vincent was a member of Wesley Ray United Methodist Church and later moved his membership to Charity Christian Center under the leadership of Pastor Linda Bradford and the late Bishop Don. L. Bradford.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter Jade Lynette: his parents James Alton and Dorothy Moses; three sisters Valerie Carradine (Bobby), Sherri Smart (Ivan), and Erica Moses; one brother, Allen Moses; one nephew, Barrington Moses; and five nieces, Diamond Moses, Annissa Moses, Shannon Smart, Bethanie Carradine, and Amaya Carter. He also behind a host of other relatives and friends.
James Vincent Moses was preceded in death by his son Anthony James Moses as well as his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Vistation will be Monday,December 31 from 9-11a.m. at Weslay Ray U.M.C. following with funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev.Terrance August, Officiating. Interment Moses Cemetery
