Idella Magee was born March 25, 1919 in Lewiston, LA tol the late Lesso and Lizzie Briggs. The oldest of seven children: Lula B. Dyson, Dewitt Briggs, Alvin Warren, Lois Miller, Oscar Briggs (Dorothy) and Wallace Briggs (Verna) all of who proceeded her in death.

At an early age, Idella acknowledged Christ as her Lord and Savior. She later joined Silver Creek AME Church were she served on the Usher Board, as a missionary, Stewardess and faith Funday School member. She Idella loved to fellowship with her church family and supported all occasions.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the Late Carnell Magee February 16, 1946 (68). To this union two children was boorn, Bernell Magee and Beverly M Vernon (Jackie) prior to this union was a son,
Standish Dyson, Sr.(Maxine) whom proceeded her in death.

She leaves her only daughter and son-in-law, Beverly(Kackie) Vernon, Sr., Linda Brumfield (adoptive daughter) nine grandchidren; Standish (Debra) Dyson, Jr, Jacqueline Briggs, Shannon Levy, Tabitha, Jackie Jr., Kayanna, Daphne, Jarrel (Phairon) and Chelsea Vernon, Sisteen great grandchildren: Jade (Keith) Walker, Amythyst, Carnell, Kijuan, Danielle, Jaquan, Standish III, Dasia, Joshua, Jade, Jamelle, Byron, Aaron, Jr., Amari, Sole
., and Leah. Two great great grandchildren: Ryan and Williams. A host of nieces , nephews and cousins to cherish her precious memory.

Sis. Idella lived a full, abundantly blessed life, she departed her early home peacefully November 1, 2014. She loved her familoy unconditionally, thus in a strait betwixt the two her and the angels waited patienly folr confirmation that all was well with her departure. At 7:30 am Saturday morning, the angele wrapped her up inh his wings and begin to soar, for Paul describes it best when he said, "For me to live in Christ, and to die is gain."

Visitation, Friday 11 - 12. Funeral Service 12:00 noon. Union Chapel AME, Rev. Sherman Berry, Officiating. Interments Union Chapel Cemetery.
