Gladys Elizabeth Pearson Causey was born on October 24, 1955 to the late Frank and Helen Pearson. She was joined in holy matrimony to Houston Causey, Jr. for 39 years. To this union four children were born, four sons. She joined the Hayes Creek Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior under the leadership of Dr. Linwood Bolton, Sr. She worked tirelessly as a member of the Usher Board, member of the Young Adult Choir, member and teacher of the Sunday School Adult Women class. She also served as President of the Sr. Mission Ministry for nearly 20 years until her health no longer allowed her to do so. She was also active in the Third District Association. She worked in the Washington Parish School system as a paraprofessional.

She leaves to cherish her memories; a devoted and loving husband of 39 years, Houston Causey, Jr., four sons; Joshua J. Causey (Christy) of Mesquite, TX; Zachary Causey (Roslyn) of Wilmer, LA; Houston Dwayne Causey of Mesquite, TX; and Michael Causey of Franklinton, LA. She cherished her grandchildren, Joshlyn E. Causey, Jaiden Causey, and A'Kyia Jackson. One brother, Frank Pearson, Jr. (Melita) of Popularville, MS; three sisters, Ms. Shirley Partman, Mrs. Louise Brown (Larry), of Franklinton, LA; Mrs. Linda Magee (Ray) of Houston, TX.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Church Family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen Pearson; one brother, L. C. Pearson; and two sisters, Annie May and Jennet Marks.
Visitation will be Friday, February 8 at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home of Franklinton, La. 2-5p.m. Family Hour 5-6p.m.
Funeral Service Saturday, February 9 at Greater Hayes Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Jerome Warren, Sr. Officiating.
