On November 13, 1960, Gary was born to the late Jessie Lee Francis Douglas. He departed this life on August 3, 2024. Gary joined the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Paul Exkano.

He attended school in the Bogalusa City School System and later worked for several years at Pugh's Floral. Gary also started his own lawn service business and was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family & friends.

Gary leaves to cherish his memories, four sisters, Earnestine Douglas, Anne Piper, Ruby Johnson and Penny Douglas. One aunt, Emma Walls. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Gary was proceeded in death by his mother, Jessie Lee Francis Douglas, one sister, Emma Francis, three brothers, Willie Douglas, one sister, Emma Francis, three brothers, Willie Douglas, Authur and Robert Francis, a niece Tina Douglas, a sister-in-law, Lynn Douglas, and a brother -in- law Karl Piper.
