Sister Eula Mae Marks was born on December 8, 1927 to the late Wilbur and Annice Marks in Thomastown, La. Washington Parish. She departed this life peacefully on July 4, 2013 at AMG Specialty Hospital. Eula attended Black Jack School in Hackley, La.
She accepted christ as her personal savior at an early age, after moving to Bogalusa she joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church under leadership of the late Rev. E.D. Burns. She was a faithful and dedicated member, who loved her church.
Since being on her christian journey she served on different ministries. As the food ministry for cooking was sincere passion and she served for many years. She served on the Usher Ministry where she greeted everyone with a smile.
It was her joy to serve as a door keeper in the house of the Lord. Sister Eula served anywhere she was asked with joy.
Sister Eula Worked as a caregiver in homes to provide a living for her family. She was a true servant of God who touched many lives along the way.
Sister Eula loved children. One of her greatest joy was having them around to cook and feed them and to send them off with candies and snacks and a big smile on their face. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilbur and Annie Marks, two sisters, Helen Pearson, Mary Marks, two brothers Jessie Marks, J.W. Marks.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters; Sue (David) Brown of Bogalusa, La. Gloria Marks of Benton Harbor, MI.; three sisters Alberta Stevenson Milwaukee, WI. Arula Wallace, Los Angeles, Ca. Essie Jefferson, Benton Harbor, MI. four grandchildren Kenner Brown, Bogalusa, La. Shawn Marks, Dallas, Tx. Teresa Marks, Keisha Marks, South Bend, Indiana. Special friend. Aline Nelson of Bogalusa, La. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
