Ernest Eugene Allen was born on March 19,1957, in Bogalusa, Louisiana to the late James and Mildred Allen. Ernest was a proud graduate of Bogalusa High School, Class of 1975. He later joined the United States Navy, where he served for 6 years. He devoted over 30+ years to working the United States Postal Service in Rex, Georgia. There he met numerous friends that became family. He called everyone "Babe," B-A-B-E, and that's how they greeted him. Known for his warm smile, his infectious laughter, and his love for painting beautiful art and portraits, his cool demeanor and his sway. Ernie, as we know him, touched countless lives with his kindness and generosity. He enjoyed painting beautiful portraits, hanging out with his friends from postal services on countless occasions and celebrations. He loved listening to jazz music. He lives to cherish his memory: His loving daughter, Boss Lady Faith Moss of Atlanta, Georgia. Two sisters, Patricia Anquim Smith of Bogalusa, Louisiana, and Vivian Dyson of Rex, Georgia. One brother, Larry James Allen, Albedo Springs, Louisiana. A special nephew, Armond Allen, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Dolores Allen. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the family friends for their love, prayers, and support during this time.
