Obituary
Sister Emma Moses White, was born December 10, 1948 at the Charity Hospital in New Orleans, LA. She became a member of Wesley Ray Methodist Church as a child. She attended Wesley Ray High School and graduated in 1966, and went on to Grambling State College and completed her studies in 1969. While at G.S.U., she joined Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc. and there she met and married Alex Whitson and to this union one son, Marcus LeShon Whitson was born.
Sister White worked at Slidell Memorial Hospital and moved to Cleveland, Ohio and worked at St. Luke Hospital for more than 22 years. She joined Open Door Baptist Church and there she met and married Mr. Robert White and to this union, one daughter, Nydeia White was born. She moved back to Angie, January 19, 1994 and worked at Charity Hospital in Bogalusa, LA for 8 years as a Registered Dietitian until she retired on November 10, 2001.
She joined Holy Temple Church of God in Christ where she served faithfully as a Sunday School Teacher, she was a devoted member and she loved her pastor, and serving faithfully until God called her home.
She leaves to cherish her memory; one daughter, Nydeia White and two grandsons: Marcus T. Whitson and LeShon T. Whitson, granddaughter, Nia White; brothers: Eddie Will (Cathy Moses), James Alton (Dorothy Moses), Elder Charles Edward (Martha Moses), Leonard (Flora Moses) and Anderson (Merlie Moses) and one sister, Mildred Rivers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Frances Moses, one son, Marcus LeShon Whitson, grandson, Jeremiah M. White, sisters: Ardean Foots, Thelma Comeaux, Lena Mae Moses, Vanda Lee Moses, Audrey Moses and Gwendolyn Smith, brother, Therodore Moses, Sr., and a host of nieces, nephews and many many friends.
