Edna J. Sterling was born June 29, 1932 to the late Sharper Randall and Edna Eugena Randall. She departed this life September 29, 2011. The angels of God came to her home and whipered to edna "come my child. I am carrying you home. Peace be thine" Sis. Edna was a member of Holy Temple Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Superintendant Leslie Fields, Jr. Edna was a native of New Orleans, La. for many years until she relocated to varnado in 2005, due to hurricane katrina. She was a special friend of the late Elder Elvis Brumfield. She remained dear to his family after his death. She resided with Linda Little (under her loving care) until her death. Delester and Linda was her caregivers during her illness since February 16, 2008.
God blessed Edna with a beautiful voice and she used it to sing to the glory and honour of God.
She leaves to cherish her memories one aunt Bernice Randall of Philadephia, Pennsylvia. Two first cousins Joyce Wilson (New Orleans, La.) and Betty Wilkerson (Dallas, Tx.) Two close friends, Sis. Nicholson (Angie, La.) & R. Lee McClenton (Varnado, La.) and a host of relatives and friends. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Shafper Randall & Edna Eugena Randall and two brothers. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 7 at Cook-Richmond from 3-6p.m. Funeral Service will be Saturday, Oct. 8 11 a.m. at Holy Temple Church of God In Christ. Rev. Leslie Fields, officiating.
