Dominic Rayshaw Ishman was born in Elizabeth City, NC to the late Anita Ishman and Gerald Ishman. He departed this life on July 6, 1914 at St. Tammany Ho9spital in Covington, LA. Dominic graduated from Bogalusa High School in 2004. He was a member of Salter Chapel AME Church under the leadership of Rev. Earl Robinson.

He loved his music, phone and his famioly. He always had a smile on his face. He leaves to cherish his loving memories his father, Gerald Ishman of Bogalusa, LA. Two sisters Erica (Eric) Jones of Augusta, GA and Treva H. (Alfred) Cobbinah of Seattle, WA, three brothers, Gerald Ishman, Jr. of August, GA, Derick and Demtric Ishman of Elizabeth City, NC four uncles: Larry Ishman, Philadelphia, PA, Michael (Tressa) Ishman, Lloyd (Tonya Lewis, James Slocum all of Bogalusa, LA. Five aunts: Sandra *J.Y) Jones, Gloria (Curtis) Hughes, Edna (Ray Darryl) Brown, Darlene Ishman and Annette (Jerry Perkins and his grandfather, Robert Knox of Bogalusa and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita Ishman, one sister, Tabathia Ishman, two cousin, Donnie and Severian Ishman, grandparents, Cora and James Ishman and two uncles, Donald and Robret Ishman.

Services will be held at Salter's Chapel AME Church, Thursday, July17, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Rev. Earl Robinson, Officiating. Interments, Duffy Memorial Cemetery.

Weep not for me, for I am with the Lord. Weep not for me, for I am at peace. When you miss me, look to the heavens and I shall smile at you through the stars. Gentle rain drops, as they brush against your cheek, shall carry my kiss, and the winds shall be my arms around you. Live for me on earth, and I shall live in heaven.
