Curtis Wayne Daniels was born May 2, 1958 to the late Earnestine "Bay" Daniels and the late John Wesley Jones, Sr. in Gulfport, Mississippi. Curtis was reared by his grandparents Edd and Zula Mingo and after their death he went to live with his other grandmother, Eva Mae Mingo.
Curtis received his elementary education in Mississippi and graduated from Harriuson Central High School in Gufport, MS. He was a self-made mechanic and also did work as a roofer and wood cuter. Curtis served a brief time in the United States Army.
Curtis was precede in death by his parents Ernestin "Bay" Daniels and John Wesley Jones, Sr., grandparent's Edd and Zula Mingo, and one brother Cedrick Mingo.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters Catherine (Craig) Walls, Jr. of Varnado, LA, Lena (Tod) Murry of Sacramento, CA, two sons Wendall Thompson and Lawrence Fowler of Bogalusa, LA. Nine brothers Charles (Angela) Daniels of Sandy Hook, MS, Linzie (Theresa) Mingo of Houston, TX, John Wesley (Tonya) Jones, Jr. olf Jackson, MS, Artaina Mingo, Larry Mingo, Greg Mingo, Louis L. Mingo all of Sandy Hook, MS, Cedrick (Rose) Mingo, Jr. of Gulfport, MS, Cindy (Betty) Mingo of Varfnado, LA, one sister Essie Mingo of Sandy Hook, MS, grandmother Eva Mae Mingo of Sandy Hook, MS, 7 grandchildren, two special nieces Shonda and Tuddy both of Gulfport, MS, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends..
Mr. Curtis Daniels passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at the age of 55.
