Clyde Rayford passed on Thursday, August 4, 2023. He is the son of the late Leroy Rayford, Sr. and Mary Green Rayford.

Clyde enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1978 and was stationed in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, in which his MOS was truck driver. Later, he enrolled at the Gary Center Job Corps in San Marcos, TX, completing the Construction Equipment Mechanic training program. He also worked on the pipeline in Georgia for many years.

Clyde was a member of Live Oak Methodist Church under the leadership of Pastor Terrence August, where he found joy in ushering. He was father to: Tina Smith, Clyde Smith, Clyde Leterry Peters, and Monique Peters, Clyde was grandfather to 27 grand children and four great- great grandchildren.

He is also survived by three siblings: Dorothy Wheeler, Virgil Rayford, Sr., and Lorenza Rayford.

He leaves to cherish loving memories to a host of uncles, and aunts, nieces ,nephews, relatives, extended family friends, as well as officers & members of the Live Oak Methodist Church.
