Cleother Pittman was born October 5, 1940 in Angie, Louisiana to the late Henry Pittman and Lela Nichols in Angie, Louisiana. Both parents and one sister Mrs. Jerry Dean Smith of Angie, Louisiana preceded him in death. One Living sister Mrs. Rosellar Loggins, Forth Worth, Texas.
Cleother Pittman was raised with in a Christian Background. He accepted Christ at an early age. Cleother Pittman knew the importance of hard work and strived for it. He accepted Christ at an early age. He would often work along with his father in the public work field/hauling and trucking business. Cleother Pittman attended his schooling in the Washington Parish area. Cleother Pittman attended Wesley Ray High School and graduated in 1962. While in high school he was very active and held many extra-curricular and activities honors. Honors of Offices included: Class Vice President in 1959-1962 he participated in sports/Basketball and Football.
In high school he was known as one of the fastest running quarterbacks on the football field. Word on the streets/Some would call him the "Rabbit". They say one he would get that football in his hands and took off, he was hard to catch. He was fast as a Rabbitt!! The Rabbit did hold onto that football and caught himself a stunning prize as well. Cleother and Ella were united in Marriage. To this union four beautiful children were born/ Clayton, Darlisa/Karen/Timothy Pittman. He was A Loving, Caring stern and devoted father to his children. Cleother Pittman was also an active member in his church home where he resided.
Cleother Pittman obtained multi certificates/ certifications and training in various vocational fields throughout his Life. His heart was in the business of Entrepreneurship. Despite the struggles of being a black man growing up in the South in the 1960's he was able to maintain a successful and Respectable career as a "Master Certified Electrician." He was the Man!!! He took pride in his work and craftmanship.
In his later years of Life, being Blessed at years old, He continues to give God all the Glory. One of his favorite sayings was, "it's all Good in the Hood "and" It ain't nothing but a Mess" with a warm welcoming smile on his face. This was an extension and expression of Love. It brought smiles to many.
He leaves to Cherish two daughters and two Sons, Clayton, Lisa, Karen, and Timothy Pittman. One Sister Mrs. Rosellar Loggins.
