Billie Ruth Nelson Fields Brumfield was born November 3, 1934 to the late Jeffrey Odeal Nicholson and the late Matthews S. Nelson in Perkinston (Sweet Beulah) Ms. Billie was affectionate by called "Bill" by her family and friends. She was educated in the Perkinton, Ms. School system and was later trained as a medical assistant. Billie was united early in marriage to the late Eddie Lee Fields.
She was united with Metropolitan Baptist Church where faithfully served under the leadership of Rev. M.J. Gallloway. Billie later married Marvin L. Brumfield who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Fields James and her sister Irma (Tiny) Nelson Ross.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Edward E. Lee of Grand Bay, Alabama. Two granddaughters Lisa Fields Harper of Slidell, La. and Riyana Marshall of Ocean Springs, Ms. Four Siblings Rev. Dr. Alfonso S. Nelson (June) of Varnado, La. Billy Jo Harris Craft (Algie) of Bogalusa, La. Rosemary Crosby Broughton (Willie A.) of Gulfport, Ms. And Joe L. Nelson of Gulfport, Ms. And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday,
