Obituary

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and he delights in his way." Psalm 37:23

Minster Benjamin Lindall Lewis was born March 15, 1954, in Bogalusa Louisiana to Esco Harry and Juanita Lewis. Benjamin was the eldest of his siblings.

Minister Lewis fondly called (Minister Ben) united with Ebeneezer Baptist Church in New Orleans. During Minister Lewis's early years of schooling, he attended Fisher Elementary School and graduated from L.B. Landry High School.

Upon graduating from L.B. Landry, Minister Lewis was employed with McDonald's and later became a manager as well as working Offshore where he retired.

Upon returning to Bogalusa he united with Mary Chapel United Methodist Church and later united Bethlehem Baptist Church. Minister Lewis was an active member of the Brotherhood, Youth Ministry, and Sunday School.

Minister Lewis had a style of his own you can say in his mother's words " HE WAS WELL DRESS"

Minister Lewis loved the New Orleans Saints and looked forward to seeing them play. But Minister Lewis's greatest love was his for God and being a drum major for the Lord, inspiring others to serve him.

Minister Lewis, present, his style. charm. and enthusiasm for God will be missed here at Bethlehem.
