Mrs. Azalea Young Johnson Thompson was born in Bogalusa, LA on February 24, 1932 to the late Davis and Malina Brown Young.

She lived most of her life in Berwick LA. She departed this life Monday December 16, 2024 at Resthaven Living Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Aaron Thompson, parents, brothers, John, Charles, Jerry, Curtis, and David Young, sister, Pinkie Lee Young.

She is survived by one daughter, Shereta and one grandson Kewan Johnson of New Iberia, LA. One brother, Delos Young, sisters, Orzia Garrett, Aline Nelson, Cleo Spurlock of Bogalusa, Willie Mae Peters of Milwaukee, WI., Bessie Davis of Monroe, LA., and Mary (Jimmy) Nelson of Grand Prairie, Tx. Godson(Little) Kenneth Peters of Bogalusa. Host of nieces, and nephews, family and friends.
