Aurilus Perkins, Sr age 82 passed away 7 days before his 83rd birthday, on March 13, 2019.  Raised in Lee's Creek, LA, he lived most of his adult life in Inkster, MI, where he retired from Ford Motor Corporation.  He served as chairman of the Deacon Board at the New Birth Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife; Rochelle Perkins; one son Aurilus Perkins Jr; four daughters; Vivian Pruitt; Barbara Perkins, Rhonda P. Edward; and Deidra Perkins; one brother; Eugene (Delores) Perkins Jr; two sisters; Katie P. Catron and Callie P. White; one grandson; Aurilus Perkins, III, two grand daughters; Torie Elzey and Nefertari Edwards. and numerous family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Arlief Perkins,  two sisters and five brothers.
