On Friday, July 10, 2015, one of God's angels got her wings. Arnecia Moses Morris, born Sept. 7, 1920, passed away in her home in Varnado surrounded by her family.
She was a mother and homemaker to 12 children and four grandchildren. She was know to her children and community as "Muh" Necie.
She leaves to cherish her legacy one son, Lyfon Morris of Hahnville; and nine daughters: Cathy Neil (Eddie) Moses of Angie, Barbara Roberts, Catherine Stewart of Varnado, Josie (Lee Vern) Williams of Bogalusa, Annie (Vertress) Moses, Queen E. Morris, of Varnado, Clarnetta (Gregory) Arrington, Phyllis (Thomas) Celestine of Varnado and Felicia (Raymond) Harry of Angie; four grandchildren that she reared: Daphne Robinson of Spring, TX, Valerie Tywanda Robinson, Bevan (Denise) Robinson of Angie and Toriana Morris of Baton Rouge, 47 grandchildren; 107 great-grandchildren, 30 great-great grandchildren and two great-great-great grandchildren. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends a total of 186 descendants.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Morris, two daughters: Charlene Weary and Gwendolyn Smith; three grandchildren, Eddie Will Moses, Jr., Fernando Smith and Wilma Dunn; and a great grandchild, Jo'Leeza Olivia Jane Dune.
Wake service will be held Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 6 p.m. until 8 pm at New Zion Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be Friday, July 17, 2015 at Wesley Ray United Methodist Church in Angie, Rev. L. Cotton, officiating. Interments Robinson Cemetery.
