I cannot say, and will not say that he is just away! With a smile and a wave of the hand, he has wandered into an unknown land.

Alvin Henry Davis was born April 30, 1954 to the late Mr. James and Dora Davis. Alvin went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 23, 2015. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Tom Bailey, Jr., before his death.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Mr. Letrone Davis of New Orleans; three brothers: Mr. Edward Thompson, Mr. Ronald James Davis and Mr. Leslie Davis, two sisters, Mrs. Earnestine Smith and Ms. Mary Alice Campbell, one nephew, Mr. Jeffery Davis of New Orleans, LA.

He leaves to cherish his memories two children: Ms. Latisha Davis of New Orleans, LA and Mrs. Kelli McNeal (Jarvis) Dawson of Bogalusa; seven grandchildren: Warnisha A Hudson, Taylor Hudson of New Orleans, LA, Thomyan T. Turner, Jarvus R. Dawson, Kylie R. Dawson of Bogalusa and Jamaryn Ford and Latrelle Sawyer also of New Orleans; three sisters: Mrs. Delores Westbrooks of Chicago, Il, Mrs. Barbara Stewart Green of Dallas, TDX and Mrs. Geraldine Davis Robinson, a special sister from Bogalusa, LA; one brother, Mr. Gregory Allen Davis of Dallas, TX, two special nephews, Mr. Bruce (Yvette) Davis of New Orleans, LA and Mr. Tony (La'Trina) Kirkling of Bogalusa, LA.

Alvin will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Funeral Service was held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 10:00 am in the parlor of the Funeral Home. Rev. James Taylor officiating. Interment, Bogalusa Cemetery.
