THE LIFE & LEGACY
Aline Silas, 68, was born on July 3, 1958, in Bogalusa, Louisiana, to Myrtis Silas and Willie J. Ratliff. She was lovingly raised by Lola and Luther Miller.
As a young woman, Aline became known for feeding everyone, showering others with kindness, and bringing happiness to those around her. Although she did not have biological children, she opened her heart and home to many, raising and caring for them as her own, Her Generosity, Nurturing Spirit, and unconditional love touched countless lives and made her a mother in every way that mattered.
Whether through her cooking, caring nature, or the many cherished moments she shared with family and friends, Aline Silas was fondly remembered by everyone she encountered. Aline had many interests, including singing, cooking, crabbing, and fishing, and she often shared these passions with those around her. She was also a proud member of Glory Bound, A Gospel Singing Group from Columbia, Mississippi.
She also leaves to cherish her memory two beloved children, Emberly and Kimberly Robinson, whom she raised, nurtured, and embraced as her own. They were a special source of Pride And Joy in her life, and the unconditional love, wisdom, and precious memories she shared with them will remain in their hearts forever.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving siblings: Tommy Silas, Christine Graves, Hazel Harrington, Lovie(Ronald) Torregano, Clarence Harris, Gloria Ladner, LaDale Ladner, Larry Ratliff, Jason (Jaqueline) Ratliff, Anna Lee Stellars, Jessie McGee, Earnestine(Jerome) Youngblood, Helen, and Jerry; Two sister-in-laws Gayle Harris and Juanita Ladner; Two special godchildren, Hollywood Buckley and Zylin Paul; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lola Miller, Myrtis(Clarence) Harris, and Willie(Dorothy) Ratliff; and her sibling, Helen Riley, Rosa Lee McGowan, Jessie Ladner, Laverne Ladner, Christopher Harris, M. L, Ladner, Michael Ratliff, and Edward Ratliff, brother-in-laws Michael Harrington and Ralph Graves, sister-in-law Rosie Ladner.
Though her loss is deeply felt, Aline's beautiful memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered through the delicious meals she lovingly prepared, the stories and laughter she shared, and the countless cherished moments she created with family and friends, her kindness, generosity, and nurturing spirit will continue to inspire those lives she touched, Aline will forever hold a special place in their hearts, and her legacy of love will never be forgotten
