Alice Mae Lenoir was born on Monday, April 22, 1946 to the late Charles and Josephine Lenoir in Tylertown, MS. She was tghe tenth of the couple's twelve childrfen. She was a lifelong resident of Bogalusa until two years ago when she relocatged to Pearl River, LA. Befoe she became disabled in the 1990s, she worked at various jobs including nurseries, as a nanny, and as a housekeepter. She was a hard-working, kind and loving woman who was loved and well known by many.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her companion of 52 years Odell Kidd; their daughter, Brenda Lenoir Caartrr (Cardale); two grandchildren, Shaneil Lenoir-Byrd (Anthony) and Kevin Magee; two great-grandchildren. Brendan Byrd and Alicea Byrd; one goddaughter, Brittany Buckley-Luke; two honorary grandchilden Candice Burton Magee and Coleshia Moses Holifield and many others who knew her as "Granny." There were special friends in her life as well, including DeborahBrown, Caherine Brister, Essie Stringer, Marie Muckley and Janice Jackson of Pearl River; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved.
She was predceded in death by her parents, her brothers: E. L., C.L., John L, M.L., Henry, Charles and Charles Ray Lenoir; her sisters: Mary Louise, Charlene, Bobbie Jean Lenoir and Louella James, her special friend Gloria Buckley Smith.
She was a long time member of Church of Christ.
